Summit turns a line on a map into a day you can trust: distance, climb, daylight, water, and the bus home, worked out before you lace up.

No account for the first ten walks. No card, ever, until you want the maps offline.

Everything the map leaves out

Four things a route line cannot tell you, answered before you go.

Climb, honestly

Ascent counted the way legs count it, with the steep mile flagged before you find it.
Daylight

A finish time from your pace, not a stranger's, and the sunset for that day in that valley.
Water

Every spring, tap and stream on the line, with the ones that dry up in August marked as such.
The bus home

The last service from the end of the walk, and the one before it, so the plan has a spare.

The maps are the good ones, licensed properly, and they work with no signal. That is what the coffee pays for.

Does it work with no signal?

The plan does, always. The maps do on the Walker and Guide plans, for the regions you downloaded.

Where does the bus data come from?

From the operators' own timetables, refreshed nightly. A service that is cancelled on the day is beyond us, which is why every plan carries a spare.

Can I import a route from another app?

Any GPX file. Drop it on the map and the four numbers appear.
